Thank you Representative William Strauss, Representative Mark Sylvia and Senator Michael Rodrigues

I would like to express my sincere thanks to the state legislators who have supported much-needed improvements to the Old Rochester Regional School District’s athletic facilities.

In 2020, I worked with Representative William Strauss to advocate for an earmark dedicated to improving our athletic fields. That funding, awarded at the end of the legislative session, has now made it possible for the district to begin long-awaited upgrades that will benefit our student-athletes for years to come. I want to extend my gratitude to Representative Strauss for his work and partnership in securing those funds.

I would also like to thank Representative Mark Sylvia and Senator Michael Rodrigues for their advocacy during the 2025 legislative session, which resulted in an additional $30,000 to support important safety and equipment upgrades in the ORR gymnasium. These improvements will enhance the experience of all students who use the space, not just those participating in sports.

I offer this letter not on behalf of the School Committee, but as a member of the committee and as a constituent who cares deeply about our schools and the opportunities we provide to our students. I am grateful for the collaboration and continued investment from our state legislators, and I look forward to working together to ensure our district has the resources it needs to thrive.
